ENVY were fortunate to be chosen by Hot FM Bunbury to be the photographers for the $30,000 Wedding Giveaway Competition. One lucky couple won their dream wedding to the value of $ 30,000 courtesy of Hot FM, while the runners up won a $30 wedding.
After weeks of challenges Kym and Shaun were the lucky winners………..Attended by their bridal party and four kids the wedding day itself was an absolute blast, including a helicopter ride to the ceremony.
Here is a small collection of images from the day….don’t forget to check out the video at the end which has over 200 images of Kym and Shaun’s fabulous day.

Here is a little collection of some of our favourite images from weddings we shot in 2011. It is only about 6 minutes so hope you enjoy……..

One year old this very day, Ceanna and her big sis Brooklyn were back in the studio for another portrait sitting.
We photographed their very proud parents wedding just a couple of years ago and they have been very busy since.
Baby #3 is on the way so we are expecting them back here very very soon.

Last week I rode the bike out to Dardanup to catch up with Trinity and Jayden. We met at Trinity’s parents property where they wanted pics taken on their up coming wedding on the 31st of March. They breed Angus cattle here… good ones too by the look of them. Trinity apparently knows her cattle pretty good also…….she writes about them in a magazine.
It was kinda tricky dodging the cow pats on the Harley on the way up the track to our destination. This ain’t no dirt bike guys !
But I did manage to sneak in a quick pic while they wandered among the cattle….there was love in the air…even their dog was getting in on the act.

Hi. I love your photos. I am wondering perhaps are you able to tell me how you go into photography, where you did the course, are there any companies that take on trainees/apprentices?
Photography has been one of my many hobbies, although i haven’t done much, apart from around the home etc. I would love to have a go at photography. If you could give me some helpful Information, That would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
Brooke.
Hello Brooke. Thank you for your comments. It has taken me many years to get to my present level of expertise. I have done many courses, seminars and workshops and taken tens of thousands of images to hone my technique. I also spent considerable time working with more senior photographers for free during my early years…Many photographers today do not do that or think it is necessary….
Most photographers cannot afford to pay trainees, so that is not really an option…they may let you assist for free, but generally not if you intend to set up shop in their backyard…..
My best advice is to search online…there is much free information available and take many images and practice…show your images to someone like myself and ask for a critique….do not ask friends for critique…they will only say nice things…..take critique on the chin and learn from it. Some photographers (including me) offer one on one workshops where you can isolate particular areas to study assuming you have basic camera skills.
cheers Dodge
